Gail Truax

Nora Gail Truax, age 70, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Gail was born April 24, 1952 to Lola and Theodore Crabtree in Rugby, Tennessee. She graduated from Haworth High School in 1970. She later earned her Masters degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Gail worked for General Motors as a certified professional secretary and purchasing coordinator. She wrote and self-published 6 wonderful children's books. Her hobbies included writing, mentoring, creating art, traveling globally, and spending time with her family. Gail was a mother of 4, and grandmother of 9. She is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" Truax; sisters, Margaret Crabtree and Wilma Gibson; children, Kari (Dennis Bogan) Morrigan, Jason (Kari) Truax, Matthew (Heather) Lawson, Shivonne Truax, and Chad Hughes; as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A gathering of friends & family for Gail will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice. Envelopes will be provided at the mortuary.
