Eva Margaret McHale, 97, was called home to the Lord on December 29, 2017. She was born Eva Margaret Seward to O.C. and Bertha (Henry) Seward on September 23, 1920 in Young America, Indiana. Eva graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1939. She retired from Delco. Eva married Harry “Mac” McHale on October of 1944, and he precedes her in passing.
Eva loved to play golf, bingo, dominos, jigsaw puzzles, and cards. She has won gold medals in bowling at 90+ years of age at the Huntsman World Senior Games in Utah. She has traveled everywhere, from the Great Wall of China, to Europe and Africa. She was also a long time member of the KOFF Club and the Senior Center, and a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church. She will be greatly missed by her many special friends and church family.
Eva is survived by her daughters, Paulette (Michael) Brauer, of Salisbury, MD and Alexia (George) Hawkins, of Russiaville, IN; grandchildren Patrick Brauer, Christopher Hawkins, Burt (Stacy) Hawkins, Alyssa Hawkins, and Kurt (Susan) Hawkins; great-grandchildren William Hawkins, Hannah (Tim) Briggs, Ashley Hawkins, Emily (Jacob) Guess, Angel Hawkins, Jaxon Creason, Megan Hawkins, Annie Hawkins, Victoria Hawkins, Jayson Hawkins, and Alexis Hawkins; special sister-in-law Sarah Mason; many nieces and nephews, and her faithful companion, Monique.
Eva is preceded in passing by her husband, Harry “Mac” McHale; brothers William, Leonard, Lee, George, and Paul Seward; and great-grandchild Alex Hawkins.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 4th at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, January 5th at 10:30 AM, at First Presbyterian Church, 2000 West Jefferson Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46901, officiated by Pastor Joyce Harris. Eva will be laid to rest at Crown Point Cemetery.
