Dorothy Imogene Hunt, 91, of Kokomo, passed away at 6:35 PM Saturday June 1, 2019 at her residence. Born December 13, 1927 in Kokomo, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Castner and Daisy (Rodman) Castner. She was employed with Stellite and Accurate Parts. She loved playing BINGO at the VFW and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends at Friendship Haven. She was also a member of Maple Grove Community Church and the VFW Auxillary.
Survivors include four daughters Wanda (John) Ayres, Anita (Patrick) Gebhart, Wanita Kirk, Debra (Terry) Roe; seven grandchildren Kristie Bogue, Amy (Jason) Moore, Phillip (Kelly) Gebhart, Michelle Coffman, Angela Moseley, Chad Roe, Torrey (Bambi) Roe; great grandchildren Savana Gebhart, Alexus Bogue, Trey, Trever, Kaylee, and Kamy Watson, Krystin Jones, Kian Meister, Lyndsay Moloch, Sage, Janzen and Cyin Slusher, Makiaya and Kabren Roe, Olivia, Abigail and Julia Roe; also seven great great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law Patricia Castner and Susie Castner; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Manley, Jack, Walter and Andy Castner; one sister Betty Warden.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon June 6, 2019 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastors Bob Morrison and Talon Paul will officiate. Burial will follow at Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the mortuary; also from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Thursday at the mortuary.
