Sue was born in Kokomo on April 9, 1924 the daughter of Floyd C. Wilson and Eva Pauline (Brown) Wilson. Sue was a 1942 graduate of Kokomo High School. She married Frank J. Massa from Brooklyn, NY on September 8 , 1943. She retired from Delco Electronics after 20 years of service. Sue loved to read and cook and she will be lovingly remembered as the "noodle lady". She was a diehard Cubs fan and thought for sure that this was the year for the Cubs to win the World Series again.
Sue is survived by her children, Nedra Sue Obreiter of Perrysburg, OH, Patti Ann (David) Eads of Noblesville, Eleanor Jane Hiatt of Kokomo, and Jimmy Vincent Massa of Lafayette; six grandchildren, Merritt Obreiter, Kevin Obreiter, Michael Obreiter , Marks Eads, Carissa McCleery, and Aaron Hiatt; nine great grandchildren, sister Nancy Sloan of Kokomo; brother David Wilson of Anderson; sister Carole Strebin of Kokomo; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was very close to her sister-in-law Carol Iacovino of Long Island, NY.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank J. Massa, siblings Floyd Wilson Jr., Alice Maureen Conwell, James Warren Wilson, Mary Ann Cowan, Robert Lee Wilson, Clyde Vernon Wilson, Larry Thomas Wilson, Mark Wayne Wilson, and Gerry Joseph Wilson.
Visitation will be held Monday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home (2097 W. Alto Rd) from 11am to 1pm. Services will be held at 1pm. Burial will follow at Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be donated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital through the funeral home. Online condolences may be given at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
