My Dearest Ed, it has been three years now and oh how I miss you!  Life goes on but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you, talk to you and wish I could bring you back. ED WAS A VERY GOOD NEIGHBOR AND WE HAD MANY VISITS ON OUR LAWNMOWERS SOLVING THE WORLDS PROBLEMS.  HE REALLY ENJOYED HIS GRAVELY LAWN TRACTOR AND KEPT HIS LAWN LOOKING REALLY NICE.  I'AM GOING TO MISS SEEING HIM ON HIS MOWER CAREING FOR HIS LAWN WHICH NEVER GOT OUT OF HAND.  WILL MISS YOU BUDDY, DON J.


Loved to tell his jokes, enjoyed mowing, joking around and goofing off. Also loved his company and spending time with him. He was a very sweet and loving man. 

I remember one year...I think I was like 12 years old...you and Lucy asked us kids what we wanted for Christmas that year...I can't remember what Troy and Kim wanted, but I told you and Lucy that all I wanted for Christmas was to spend time with the family and to have Lucy's awesome spaghetti dinner...so you and Lucy made sure that I got that spaghetti dinner that year....and it was the best Christmas dinner as a family that I could've ever asked for...I remember it being at Lucy's mom's house, and her house being so beautifully decorated for Christmas...it was awesome!! Of course you guys got me more than just the spaghetti dinner I asked for, but all I remember getting is that dinner from you and Lucy...and I loved it!! ❤❤ We got to have that same dinner again in 2019, except we had it at yours house this time...I will never forget it because it ended up being our last whole family Christmas get together dinner that we would get to have with you because of covid, we didn't get to be with you for Christmas in 2020!! So I will always cherish that last Christmas with you!! I love and miss you so much dad...I LOVE YOU!!

When I think of  Uncle Ed several  wonderful  memories come to my mind. When we would go visit there house In Florida I remember them having every Disney movie in RCR from some still in the original wrapper. My favorite however was rescuers down under. Still to this day when I watch it I think of Uncle Ed and Aunt Lucy. Uncle Ed was always a teaser he would always tease one of us kids. When I had kids of my own and visited with them he tease my little girl she really enjoyed the one on one attention. We loved our Uncle Ed and he will be greatly missed! Dear Dad...I don't know if you knew how much you meant to me and my kids and grandbabies, but you meant the world to us and we miss and Love you each and every day.  We will all miss your laugh, your smile, and even all of your jokes, haha😂😂. We are going to miss your loving arms around us holding us tight, full of your love. And most of all...gonna miss our holiday get togethers, and like Kim said...your drive bys to make sure we are okay. But, we want you to know Dad, that your guiding presence and love will remain with us all forever. My earliest memories of Uncle Ed go way back to when  I was just a small kid. I remember going over to Uncle Ed & Aunt Lucy's house in Kissimmee Florida and walking into the smell of canned beef, sliced potatoes, and peas! That was his signature meal (in my opinion anyway)! Depending on who you speak to, you may find that each have their own personal favorite recipe from Uncle Ed. Ed enjoyed cooking.

Nonetheless there we would sit, Disney movie playing on the TV, Tupperware toys by our side, and a hot plate of Uncle Ed’s beef and potatoes! WE HAD IT MADE!

Thank you Uncle Ed for the warm and wonderful memories that we will never forget!


Uncle Ed was a great friend and uncle.  I remember visiting his home in Kissimmee, FL and hoping he was watching the wrestling channel, so we could sneak in a few minutes of TV time.  I also enjoyed spending time at his home with our family, as he would tease my older sister Bonnie, as I would get a kick out of watching her get upset.   Also, listening to him talk about different things that happened at his work, for example, the time he got to eat with former President Clinton. 

One of my favorite memories of Uncle Ed was when he and Aunt Lucy would come over in December and load up all 7 of kids and go out buy a real Christmas tree🎄 . He would always be carry his big old video camera 📹 and record us as we picked out the tree and while we would decorate it. He always made me feel special when he would follow me around trying to get me on camera because I was shy and didn’t want to be on camera. I also remember all the delicious dinners he would make for our family when we went our to their house. One of my favorites was his meatloaf. When he and Aunt Lucy came to Robert’s and my wedding in California he wrote his meatloaf recipe out for me and I still use it for my family’s meatloaf dinners 💕 


I have a lot of fond memories of you Uncle Ed. My fondest memory is when we lived in Haines City, Florida. Many years at Christmas time we did not have extra money to even buy a Christmas tree.  You and Aunt Lucy were generous and kind enough to take our whole family and help us pick out a real tree. Buying a Christmas tree for us kids those years made our Christmas really special. I miss you uncle Ed. So many great memories 

Another memory...The first time Dad and Lucy came to watch me play one of my high school softball games...when I tell this story most people don't believe me, but it is the God's honest truth, I was playing 3rd base, and the batter acted like she was going to bunt the ball, so I cautiously start towards the plate from 3rd base, and anybody who knew me knows that I played almost halfway up towards home plate anyway, but the batter didn't bunt the ball, instead she pulled the bat back and swung and hit the ball instead...it was a line drive coming right at me...I didn't have time to get my glove(mitt) up in time to catch it with my left hand(glove side) to catch the ball because the ball was more on my right side(throwing hand), so I ended up catching the line drive, mind you I was only about 10 feet from home plate, with my bare hand and then threw the ball to first base, because the runner that was on first base already didn't think I would catch the ball, and threw her out at first as well for a double play!! Dad was all excited and I could hear him yelling, "did you see that, that's my little girl"!! After the game dad came and picked me up in his strong firm arms, gave me a big bear hug, and said, "You are definitely my kid, you take after your daddy"!!! I was like...yes I do dad!! Haha!! And by the way...my team won that game!! Lol!!

This is my earliest memory of my dad...I was about 4 years old. Dad and Lucy was coming to pick us up to go to spend the summer with them in Florida for the first time...Dad and Lucy asked us if we were ready to go and I was so excited to go that I said yes, I am ready and grabbed my bag, which I thought was all I needed to go with, so Lucy looked in my bag and laughed and then showed my dad what was in my bag, and then he laughed also and then dad hugged me and said, "kiddo, i think you will need more than this for the summer"!! If I remember correctly...in my bag that I made for myself was just a stuffed animal and my bathing suit and nothing else...we laughed about that later when I was a little older...haha!! 

Will miss you Pop. You always had a kind word, and you always shot straight with me. I'll always remember that.

My Dearest Dad, you meant the world to me & my kids & grandbabies. I dont think we told you that you had another Great Grandson born in January named Liam. He is so little.  I know you loved watching all the kids how their personalities made you laugh. Im going to miss your laughter as they made you laugh. Im going to miss the drive byes when you didnt think I saw you checking in on me at my home. I knew you wanted to always be with family on the holidays & you didnt get to this last year but you were always on our minds & in our hearts. I will always love & miss you for the rest of my life.
