Wilma Faye Kirby Dooley, age 92, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away Saturday, February 18. Wilma was a wonderful wife to her loving husband of 57 years, John Dooley, who predeceased her in 2006. She and John raised three children – Joe, David, and Lea Ann, and Wilma believed a happy family was but an earlier heaven. Although Wilma outlived her 32 first cousins and many other loved ones, she found joy every day in her many friends, wonderful neighbors, and relatives near and far who delighted in her laughter and happy outlook. All will miss her spirit, and good advice, and appreciation for every little thing. Wilma expected to have a good time, every day, and she did to the very end of her earthly life. She was predeceased by parents Cecil and Beulah Kirby, sister Alma Rhea Kirby, and brother Leon (Monna) Kirby. She is survived by her children, Joseph (Elaine) Dooley of Knoxville; David (Kathy) Dooley of Knoxville; and Lea Ann Adkins (Steve Brock) of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren (Elizabeth, Daniel, Jessica, Sloane, Jeff and Andy); and seven great-grandchildren. The family will welcome friends and relatives for visitation on Wednesday, February 22 at Lynnhurst Funeral Home from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM with a graveside service at 3 PM at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
