William Jack Ward Sr.

William Jack Ward, Sr., age 95 of South Knoxville, passed away January 1, 2018 at Island Home Health and Rehab. Bill was a member and deacon at Wards Chapel Church of God. He was employed by Mosley's Drug Store for over 30 years. Bill was truly a family man who loved his family and his Lord. Preceded in death by wife, Lucy Henry Ward; grandson, Tim Ward, Jr.; son and daughter in law, Bill Jr. and Yvonne Ward; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Eddie Byrd; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Sandra Ward; son, Sam Ward; daughter, Linda Sue Ward; son-in-law, Roy (Button) Monger. parents Terl Isaac and Mary Lou Clabough Ward; brothers, Beecher K. Ward and Jim E. Ward; sisters Bertha Ward Clabough, Mable Ward Breeden and Dorothy Ward Breeden. He is survived by daughter, Helen Ward Monger; son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Caron Ward; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Roy Titlow; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Ora Lee Ward; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Snapper (David) Hickson; Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Best friend Melvin Kyle "Cadillac". The family would like to thank the staff at Island Home Park Health and Rehab for their excellent care. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Berry Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet Mount Olive Cemetery Friday, January 5, 2018 for a 2 pm graveside service.
