Dot and family so sorry to hear about Cotton passing.  He was always a truly nice person who would go out of his way to help out another person.  He will be missed by his family and all his many friends.

I really feel fortunate to have gotten to know Cotton Thomas over the last decade.  It was always fun to talk fishing and UT sports with him.  I just wish I had known him longer. All my best wishes and prayers for comfort go out to Cotton's family at this time of loss.

when Cotton and I were kids we were like brother and sister as well as your other brothers and sisters... We always had our big dinners on Sunday.Times have changed so much as weve grown older only wish we could have stayed in touch more.. We love Dot and your childern very much and we will miss you even more... I went to Porter grade school with Cotton. He was the best marble shooter. I also work with him in the early sixties. My fondest memories are about working with him and his brother George on the county corthouse in Darlington,SC. He was a master craftsman. Be at peace.

We have many wonderful memories of Cotton when he stopped to visit at our shop(Louisville Marine) and will truly miss him. He spoke often of his wife and family, and it was very obvious  his love for them.  He enjoyed entertaining everyone here with his fish tales and animal adventures. Cotton, as I knew him, was a friend of my father Carl "Gene" Valentine and I we used to fish together and even had the honor of working with him some.. to me they just did not come any better than Cotton Thomas. Lots of Great Memories and I will miss him and so will many others. My Prayers and Love to the family.

William (Cotton) will truly be missed.  He was a very special friend to my dad David. Probably his best friend. He will leave my dad with lots of memories of the times they spent together and the many times he was there to help daddy in any way that he could.  My boys have a fond memory of him as well, when they would all go to the little restaurant (Old mans corner) Cotton taught my boys how to make their muscles grow by puttng their thumb in their mouth and blowing on their thumb. They thought that was the funniest thing and still talk about it till this day.  Thanks for all of the great memories you have left with so many. Prayers are with the family during their time of loss as well.
