William Edison Bunch passed away on February 17, 2023. He was of the Baptist Faith. William was a butcher for many years at Lay's Market and Food City, he also operated B&M Auto Sales. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army (sharp-shooter). He grew up with a love of horses that grew into a love of bluegrass music he shared with "Lindy Lou", who was the love of his life and best friend of 43 years. He became known as "Shot Gun Charlie" in his later years for his adventures and love of "moseying on out of here" and his love to just simply go. He had a quick wit and brought joy to anyone and everyone around him.
His words always had a way of making you see the love he had in his heart for his girls and his family. Preceded in death by parents, Johnie Bunch and Edith Irene Hurst Bunch; grandparents, John Wesley Bunch and Sarry Hurst Bunch; son, Jeff Bunch; granddaughter, Amber Bunch; siblings, Ellen Spears, Lydia Mae Bunch, Josh Bunch, Mary Miracle, Eileen Lakin. Survived by wife and best friend, Linda Bunch of 43 years. He loved his children and was always their biggest encourager; children, Mike Bunch, Christi Selvidge (Mike), Pam Lynam (Scott), Melissa Smith (Scott); grandchildren, Adam Selvidge, Amanda Maples (Cody), Wil Lynam (Gabby), Matt Lynam (Hillary), Isabella Trewhitt (Stephen), Brandon Bunch (Abby), Blake Bunch; brothers, Houston Bunch (Jo), Eddie Bunch (Geniva) along with 9 great grand babies. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 21, 2023, from 5 - 7 pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. with the funeral service to follow. Dr. Rocky Ramsey will officiate.
