Dunlap, Wanda Bridges Shoffner – Born November 21, 1921 in Sharps Chapel, TN passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013. Wanda was a member of Lincoln Park United Methodist Church. She worked many years at Standard Knitting Mill but was most proud of being a Mother and a Grandmother. She never complained and was very active in politics, reading her bible and loved socializing. She is preceded in death by her first husband Freeman Shoffner and second husband James Kyle Dunlap, parents James H. and Lona F. Bridges and her 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son Doug Shoffner and wife Marilyn. Grandchildren, Kimberly Shoffner Walters and Michael D. Shoffner. Great Grandchildren, Phil Walters III, Hillary Walters, Michael and Austin Shoffner, several nieces and nephews, daughter-in-law Glenda Shoffner and close friend Anne Hall. The family would like to thank Elmcroft of West Knoxville and Tennova Hospice for the love and care they provided to Wanda. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to Lincoln Park United Methodist Church, 3120 Parshing Street, Knoxville, TN 37917. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm. Sunday, April 21, 2013 in the Lynnhurst/Greenwood Chapel with a Funeral Service to follow at 4pm. Pastor John Gargis officiating.
