W. Wayne Tipton

William Wayne Tipton, 63 of Lenoir City, went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2021. Wayne was born in Knoxville, TN to the late William J. Tipton and Margaret Tipton Brooks. Wayne served in the United States Air Force. He was a store manager with SMG Corporation and the former owner of a bus line company with Knox County Schools. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Rev. Glenn Brooks.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Virginia Tipton; daughters, Jennifer Rolon (Jerry), Natasha Pennington (Hubert), and Amy Perez (Shane); son, Chris Davis and bonus son, Julio Perez; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren; brother, Barry Tipton (Jan) and nephews, Jeremy, Jesse, Seth, and Ben.

Wayne's family will receive friends on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Berry Highland West Funeral Home, 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN, with his funeral service immediately following at 7:00pm. Graveside service and interment will be Friday, June 25, 2021 at 11:00am also at Berry Highland West with military honors.
