Virginia Rose Wilson, formerly of Knoxville, was granted her Angel wings July 18th 2017. She was born February 6, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Robert and Sena Ferguson. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Mammaw during her 80 years. "Just a little of this and a little of that", "I Swanie", "Love you a good mystery like Columbo, Barretta or Law n Order", "Hard work never killed anybody, you might think it will", "Waste not want not", "Say your prayers and go to church." The most important lesson....... work hard, Love one another and to know, according to Mammaw "You're the sweetest one."She enjoyed sewing and was an excellent seamstress. She loved her family! She was an active member of The Inskip Baptist church since September 23rd 1989. She was a devoted employee at The Knoxville Civic Coliseum were she retired after 30 plus years of service.She is preceded in death by her parents,Robert and Sena Ferguson and her sister Bobby Pyles. She is survived by her children: Ronald "Tony" Wilson of Ky and Rebecca "Becki" Spears of Tn, 4 grandchildren Michael (Cathy) Wilson, Kimberlin (Casey) Alsop, Alex Spears, Sharae Spears, 8 great grandchildren, a very special niece and nephew Vanassa Workman and Thornton (Susan) Pyles.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm, Monday, July 24, 2017 at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN. The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm, Rev.
