Norton, Virginia Hinton, of Knoxville, went to be with her Savior, after a lengthy illness, at Asbury Place on Friday, March 28th. Member of Third Creek Baptist Church. Retired with 27 years of service, from the McClung Museum at UTK.
Preceded in death by her husband, Spurgeon Norton; parents, William and Margaret Hinton; brother, Bill Hinton; son-in-law, Bill Toney.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Norton Toney, Denette (Mike) Flynn; son, Dennis Norton; grandchildren, LeAne (Gene) Hackney, Elaine (John) Walker, Eric (Cathy) Toney, Joshua and Jennifer Flynn; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Wilma Keith; brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews. The family is grateful to the staff at One North the Village at Asbury Place for the love and care they lavished on Virginia.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 am Monday at Third Creek Baptist Church, Dr. Rod Duncan officiating.
