PETERS, VIRGINIA LEE AILLS GARDNER – age 77 of Knoxville; born December 22, 1933 and entered rest November 16, 2011. Widow of Lynn A. Peters Air Force Master Sergeant Retired and owner of Grove Center Watch Repair in Oak Ridge, TN. She was employed by Winn Dixie/Food City in Oak Ridge and Knoxville for over 25 years. Preceded in death by parents Bob and Maude Aills; Brothers Lester, Delbert (Buck) and Rev. Bob Aills; Sisters Etta , Juanita , Edna , and Maybelle Aills all of Salina, Kansas; She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Murry and Kim Gardner; Grandson and wife Rev. Chris and Tasha Gardner; special great grandchildren Hannah and Caleb Gardner; sisters Wilma Aills Ray and Charlotte Aills of Salina, KS; sister-in-law Kathlyn Peters Lafollette of Knoxville; and a host of nieces and nephews; family in love; Jack, Brenda, Peggy, and Linda Gardner; the Peters Family; special friends Alice Stigall, Rose Jones and Winn-Dixie retirees club. Special thanks to Avalon Hospice, Dr. Ed Mendez and Denise Witt for all their services. Also, special thanks to Murry and Kim Gardner for the wonderful at home care. Family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Weavers with chapel service to follow at 6 pm. Rev. Chris Gardner officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:15 pm Monday at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for a 1:30 pm interment.
