ADKINS, TROY NATHANIEL, age 31 of Louisville, passed away November 11, 2009. Born December 10, 1977 in Pikeville, KY to Morris Walker Adkins, Sr. and Anita Diane Mays. Troy graduated from Southern High School in Durham, N.C., attended First Apostolic Church where he was a youth counselor and very active in F.A.C. activities. Troy and Amy were joined in marriage December 13, 2003 and resided in Louisville, TN. Until his untimely return to home in a fatal car accident on November 11, 2009.He was employed by Ole Ben Franklin motors. Preceded in death by grandparents, Lepport and Elizabeth Atkins, Doris Beatrice Lee. Survived by wife Amy Mencer Adkins, and son; Tanner Michael Adkins age 3, father; Morris W. Adkins, Sr. (Jeannie), mother; Anita D. Mays, step-father; Tommy L. Mays, Sr., brothers; Morris Walker Adkins II (Rebekkah), Tommy L. Mays, Jr. (Laura), father and mother-in-law; Mike and Bobbie Mencer, sisters-in-law; Ashton Mencer, and Leslie Mencer, nieces; Aaliyah Sanders, Diana S. Crumbsy, Marlee Mays, nephews; Xavier Wilson, Morris W. Adkins III, Quinton Adkins, and Weston Coy LaRue, grandfather; Rudolph R. Lee from Tram KY., and a host of uncles, aunts, great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers, Tim McCormick, Derek Daniel, Jason Huff, Jeremy Maupin, Tyler Rhyne, and Jack Loop. Honorary pallbearers, Tommy L. Mays, Sr., Morris Adkins, Jr., Tommy L. Mays, Jr. Marvin Lee, Sr., Larry Lee, Marvin Lee, Jr., and Ozzie Yelden. Visitation will be from 5-7:30 pm Sunday at First Apostolic Church with service to follow at 7:30 pm. Bishop Billy McCool officiating.
