Thomas Vaud Wood II

Wood, II, Thomas Vaud, age 81, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014. He was of the Baptist Faith. He served in the U.S. Army with honorable discharge, retired from the Knoxville Fire Department after 25 years of service, and was a member of Fountain City Masonic Lodge # 757. Preceded in death by wife of 49 years, Alice Wood.

Survived by children; Thomas V. Wood, III, Dennis Wood and wife Kimberly, Ricky Wood, Teresa Brockwell, Darrell Wood and wife Marie, Susan Reece and husband Donny, and Randy Schultz; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 8 great great-grandchildren; special friends and neighbors, Sandy Wolfe, Jeff Forrette, Lonnie and Sue Roach, and Dale Gordon.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Wednesday with the funeral service to follow at the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Dotson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 am Thursday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for the interment.
