Thomas J. Martin age 70 went to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 12, 2014 surrounded by his loving family, after an 8 year battle with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. He was a longtime member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church and founder of Martin Printing of Knoxville, TN. his favorite past-time was golfing with family and friends, and he enjoyed all Tennessee Vols and Lady Vols sports. Thomas was preceded in death by parents William George and Myrtle Martin; brothers, Roy Martin & Edwin Martin; sisters, Mae Brannon & Naomi Sharp. He is survived by loving wife of 45 years Betty Martin; sons and daughters-in-law Bryan W. and Stacey Martin and Heath A. and Natalie Martin; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Faye Martin of Lenoir City, TN; Junior Martin of Etowah, TN; Charles and Jean Martin of Seymour, TN; sisters Omalee Garrett of Knoxville, TN; Kitty Casto of Cleveland, TN; Lillian Brittian of Powell, TN; Betty and brother-in-law Hugh Cogdill of Lillian, AL; Four loving grandchildren; Wesley Martin, Nicholas Martin, Cole Martin and Callie Martin. The family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff of Tennessee Oncology and the entire staff of Tennessee Oncology and the entire staff of Tennova North for their loving care and kindness. Family will receive friends on Tuesday , April 15, 2014 at Colonial Heights United Methodist Church, 6321 Chapman Highway Knoxville, Tennessee from 5-7 PM with funeral service to follow. The Rev. john Brewster officiating and son Heath Martin will speak. Family and friends will gather at Highland South Mausoleum Chapel, 9010 East Simpson Road on Wednesday, April 16th at 11 AM for interment.
