Thomas Philip Davis

Davis, Thomas Philip “Phil” –age 65, lost his courageous battle with cancer on August 14, 2010. Mr. Davis was a 46 year employee of the Kroger Company, most recently employed at the Broadway location. He was of the Baptist faith with a long-term affiliation with Gayland Heights Baptist Church, Knoxville. Phil was preceded in death by his father, T. J. “Sleepy” Davis, his niece, Casandra Davis and both paternal and maternal grandparents. Survivors include his Mother, Ulyss Davis, Knoxville; sister Martha Respess, Dandridge; brothers; Sam (Nancy) Davis, Kingston, Gordon (Donna) Davis, Louisville, Ky., and Tim (Suzanne) Davis, Jefferson City. He is also survived by nephews, Nathan, Jared, David Davis and Brian Parker and nieces, Missy Hodge, Amanda Urbany, Rachelle Davis and Shannon Cowart, great-nieces and nephews, Austin and Autumn Davis and Adler and Eisley Cowart and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Dr. Charles Webb officiating. Interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
