Teresa Elaine Meadows Johnson, Age 53 of Knoxville passed into the light of her spiritual world peacefully at ther home surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 20th from a rare form of mucosal melanoma cancer. She lived all her life in Knoxville. Teresa is someone who could always lift the spirits of others with a warm smile or gentle hug. She has a great sense of humor and loves everyone around her. She is preceded in death by her parents Albert Floyd Meadows and Margaret Fox Meadows. She leaves behind on this physical earth her wonderful husband of over 35 years, James H. Johnson Jr. (Jim Johnson/Buddy Johnson)Her son Anthony (Tony) Johnson and her beautiful granddaughter Rose Marie Johnson of Knoxville, her beautiful daughter Crystal Brianne Elaine Johnson Wright and son in law Mitch Wright of Kingsport, TN. Brothers James Gary Corn, Ray Meadows, Carl Meadows and wife, Pat, Ronnie Meadows and wife Judy, all of Knoxville. Sisters are Flora Meadows of Knoxville, and Janice Robinson and husband Bill of Ohio.She leaves behind two very special nieces, Gail Miracle and Darlene Verley. She loved both of them very much. Sisters in law are Donna Johnson, Janice Green and Tina Reed of Knoxville. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephewsan great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends that helped support her and her family during her fight with this MONSTER. Teresa wanted the family to thank everyone for that amazing support. Teresa loves people and is always looking for ways to help other folks. One of her favorite sayings was "It could always be worse". The family will have a celebration of her life on Tuesday, March 23 at the Lynnhurst/Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home at 230 W. Adair Dr. Officiating the celebration of Life will be Tim Wright with assistance from Rita Thomas. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM with a celebration of life at 7 PM Tuesday.
