Pressley, Nina Sue Castle – age 75 of Knoxville entered the church triumphant on January 11, 2012. She was born in Kingsport, Tennessee and was a member of Meridian Baptist Church. She loved learning and teaching and was educated at Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett High School, had an undergraduate degree from East Tennessee State University and a masters degree from the University of Tennessee. She taught for 30 years at the Tennessee Technology Center at Knoxville. She was an avid exerciser and loved riding her bicycle and walking. She was a faithful companion of 55 years to her husband, Johnny Pressley, who survives her. Also, she leaves a loving family including her sons and daughters- in- law, Danny and Allison Pressley and Nixon and Tina Pressley; her grandchildren, Sam, Haley and Connor Pressley; her brother and sister in law, Don and Pat Castle; and nephew and nieces, Mack Castle, Cindy Faulk, and Christie Jenkins. She was blessed with many friends but shared a special relationship with Dr. Gary and Terry Lethco and Bob and Shirley Tripp. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Queen Castle of Kingsport, Tennessee. Her life was centered on her faith in Christ and service in His Kingdom. Her God supported her all the days of her life and now that her busy world is hushed and her work is done, God in his mercy has granted her a holy rest and peace at the last. Family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012 at Meridian Baptist Church with a celebration of life service to follow at 5:00 p.m., Pastor Dana Fachman and Pastor Jim Hutson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Ed Arnett Sunday School Class and the Friendship Sunday School Class. Family and friends will meet Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Jarnagin Cemetery, Morristown, TN for an 11:00 a.m. interment service.
