Stanley Davenport, age 82, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018. He was a member of Meridian Baptist Church and a member of the Masons, Burlington Lodge # 763. Stanley retired from TVA Credit Union and he served in the National Guards. Preceded in death by father and mother, Raulston and Minette Davenport; sister, Kathleen Armstrong. Survived by loving wife of 55 years of marriage, Sandra Davenport; brother, Harry Davenport; sister-in-law’s, Barbara (Robert) Pickens, Marie Owens; brother-in-law, Glenn (Barbara) Owens; special nieces, Karen Davis, Paige Hamilton and several other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Meridian Baptist Church, 6513 Chapman Highway, with a funeral service being held at 7:00pm with Rev. Dana Fachman officiating. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 2:00pm at Meridian Baptist Church Cemetery, 6500 Sevierville Pike.
