“Rita” as she was known by friends and family, was Born October 28,1959 in Charlotte S.C., to Father Clarence O. Kelbaugh and Mother Nesta Kaye Hitt (Kelbaugh).
Rita is preceded in death by brother, Curtis O.Kelbaugh; mother, Nesta K. Hitt (Kelbaugh), and father, Clarence O. Kelbaugh.
Surviving is her husband of 35 years Douglas M. Harris of Manchester KY, previously of WV; daughter, Amber Harris currently of Manchester KY, previously of charleston, WV; nephew, Joshua Kelbaugh and family of Bradenton, FL; nephew, Shawn Hadley and family, of Leon, WV and her two grandchildren, Ayden and Addison who she loved more than life, and finally her beloved support dog, Jack who is known for singing to her everyday.
Rita was a daughter of a Military father and was blessed to be able to travel all over from east to west coast. She was a 30+ year dedicated employee to the Bob Evans Farms family and worked her way from grill cook to area manager. Rita was a great and beloved Friend to so many people and was such a positive figure in so many people’s lives. She loved her family and friends dearly and she will greatly be missed by so many.
Cremation services are all she had requested and will be performed by Weaver Funeral Home in Knoxville, Tn. She will be laid to her final resting place at Gulf Pines Memorial Park located in Englewood Fl in care of Kays Ponger & Uselton funeral home in Punta Gorda Fl. Next to her Father Clarence and in the future husband Douglas Harris. No Other viewings or services will be held at this time.
