Shirley Rhea Freeman

Shirley Rhea Freeman went to join her husband and children in heaven on December 6, 2020 at the age of 84. She was at home surrounded by her beloved family. She was a member of Living Waters Missionary Baptist Church. Shirley was a caretaker, not just to her family, but to everyone and will always be remembered for her loving nature. Her family was her pride and joy.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Neal Freeman; children, Judy, Jeff, and Steve Pollard. She is survived and will be deeply missed by sons, Larry (Regina) Pollard, Mike (Teresa) Freeman, Chris (Nancy) Freeman; daughter, Peggy (Randy) Gaut; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends. The family wishes to thank UT Hospice for their compassionate care, especially Beth and Mary, as well as her longtime caregiver, Erica.

We will gather at 10:45 am Berry Highland South Cemetery, 9010 E Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920, for an 11:00 am Graveside Service. Some of the children and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
