Sherry Lynn Shown

Sherry Lynn Cook Shown, age 59, of Jacksboro, passed away on July 31, 2016 at the U.T. Medical Center. She was a devoted wife and mother. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Ruby Cook; brother Michael Cook and grandsons: Braydon Shown and Zacheriah Shown. She was a member of Stinking Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Shown; sons: Donald Bradley Shown and wife Jessica and Brandon Shown; very special, chosen granddaughter, Emma Miller; brother, Wayne Cook and wife Sandy; nephews and nieces: Josh and Lindsey Cook and Avery and Casha Cook; mother-in-law, Nola Shown, along with a multitude of cherished family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-8 pm at Cumberland View Baptist Church, Jacksboro. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. James Atkins and Rev. Chris Wilson, officiating. Interment will be held on Thursday, at 1:00 pm in Indian Creek Cemetery. Everyone is asked to assemble at the church by 12 noon to go in procession to the cemetery.
