Sharon Jean Thomas

Sharon Jean Thomas went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her baby daughter, Kelly Thomas; mother, Ella Mae Tabors; father, Thomas Tabors; and brother, Clarence Lee Tyson Jr.

Sharon attended the University of Tennessee where she received her B.S. in Public Health. She then attended Walters State and received an A.A.S. in Nursing. Sharon was a retired Critical Care Nurse at UT Medical Center and also served as a Knox. Co. School Nurse.

Sharon is survived by her devoted husband, James Thomas, and loving son, James Thomas Jr.; sisters, Sarah (Will) Colson, Tammie (Arthur) Foster; brothers, Terry (Iman) Tabors Sr. Timothy (Elaine) Tabors Sr.; many loving nieces and nephews; and special friend Margo Keaton.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Berry Highland West, 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM and will and be live streamed on the Berry Highland West Facebook page. Burial to immediately follow the service at Berry Highland West Cemetery. At the family's request all attendees are asked to wear masks.
