MARTIN, SAMUEL J.-age 72 went to be with the Lord February 19, 2010. Member of Northwest Baptist Church. Retired from Martin Marietta Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge. Preceded in death by sons, Samuel J. (Sonny) and Timothy K. Martin, parents; Lyle and Marie Martin, sisters; Melda, Nora, Jean, Clara Ruth, and Trudy, brothers; Lyle and Oscar Martin. Survived by wife of 53 years, Doris J. (Judy) and son Joseph Anthony (Tony) Martin, brothers; Robert and Paul Martin, several special nieces and nephews, and a precious lady he loved and admired, Mary Kinser. Sam always said “You have to reach out to show love, but that other person needs to reach back also.” Friends are invited to call at their convenience Sunday from 12-6 pm and Monday from10am till 6 pm with memorial service to be held at 6pm.
