Samuel Kenneth Belitz

BELITZ, KENNETH S., age 79, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at home. He retired from ORNL in Oak Ridge after 37 years of loyal service. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Minnie (Whitaker) Belitz; stepmother Sarah Josephine Belitz; brothers, Earl, Glen, Bruce, Charles and Raymond; sisters, Naomi Ricketts, Edith Walker, Emma Lee Turner Terry, and infant Helen. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sue Violet Belitz; children, Debra May (Mike), Larry Belitz (Celia), Sharon Ford (Terry), and Carol Nuber (George); eleven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sister Ada Abbott; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Friday from 5:00-7:00 pm at Weavers with chapel service to follow at 7:00 pm. Family and friends will meet Saturday, 9:45 am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for a 10:00 am interment. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kenneth’s honor may be made to the American Heart Association.
