Samuel Waller Anderson Jr.

Anderson, Samuel Waller Age 86 of Knoxville, Tennessee, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday May 20, 2017 at 5:03 pm. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his daughter, Margaret Lee Anderson, his parents, Samuel Waller Anderson and Laura Lewis Lawhon and sisters Margaret Anderson Johnson of Tallahassee, Florida and Donna Anderson Banta of Grand Haven, Michigan. Survivors are his beloved wife and best friend Shirlee Drysdale Anderson and his two daughters that he loved dearly Dabney and Kimberly. Mr. Anderson was well known in Knoxville as a former executive of Miller’s, Inc., and the grandson of James H. Anderson (Owner and President of Millers, Inc.). Mr. Anderson was a member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. He left Knoxville to attend Seminary at Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Anderson was well known in Hemingway, South Carolina, where he was pastor at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. Mr. Anderson was well known in Sumter, South Carolina, where he was President of Teen Crusade. Mr. Anderson was also Vice President of Gospel Films in Muskegon, Michigan. Mr. Anderson was owner and President of Integer, Inc. in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mr. Anderson was Vice President of Customer Relations for CRC Information Systems in Scottsdale, Arizona before retiring in Knoxville. Mr. Anderson was a member of Christ Covenant Church in Farragut. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the chapel at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home located at 5315 Kingston Pike in Knoxville. Rev. Scott Home will officiate.
