He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 30 years, Diana Thomas Dunn; parents, Joseph Charles and Opal Virginia Echols Dunn; brother, Richard Dunn; great nephew, Blake Switow. Sam Joe is survived by children, Erin (Adam) Lee and Eric (Ashley) Dunn; grandchildren, Emerson and Adeline Dunn, Hudson Lee; siblings, Jim (Linda) Dunn, Brenda Julian, Mary (Gary) Ashley; niece, Kathy (John) Switow and nephews, Chris Julian and Zach (Danielle) Ashley.
The family would like to thank Heather Wolfe, and the staff at UT Hospice for their compassionate care.
Family will receive friends Saturday, December 3rd, 2022 from 11am-1pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with graveside service to immediately follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Rev. Donavon Welden officiating.
