Roy Franklin Davis

DAVIS, ROY FRANKLIN-62, of Knoxville, TN passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at UT Medical Center after a brief illness. An employee of the City of Sevierville for 12 years, Roy was the Lead Firetruck Mechanic and an Emergency Vehicle Technician. He was previously employed by Rural Metro Fleet Services and Kern's Bakery. A lifelong resident of South Knoxville, he was preceded in death by parents, Jess and Ruby (Stair) Davis; sisters, Dorothy Jones and Eva Jenkins. Roy is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gail Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Allison Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Paul DeWitt; grandchildren, Katie, Kylie, and Brayden Davis; siblings, Albert "Sonny" and Sarah Davis, Jessie Montgomery, Richard and Phyllis Davis, Debra and Greg Smithers; many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday, October 20th at Berry Highland South Funeral Home on Simpson Road with Funeral service immediately following at 7pm.
