Ronald "Ron" Sterling Hickey Jr.

Ronald Sterling Hickey Jr., age 56, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at his home. Ron was a 1984 graduate of Doyle High School where he lettered in all sports. Ron had a passion for baseball and loved to watch his sons play. He assisted coaching throughout their little league and high school travel teams. During the early 1990's Ron worked with the Knox County Sheriff's Department where he made lifelong friends. Ron enjoyed spending his time fishing, watching ball games with his boys and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sons, Sterling and Braden Hickey; mother to his boys, Mequeeta; parents, Ronnie and Dolores Hickey; sister, Darlene Hickey; niece, Lauren Burroughs and husband Tate; great nieces, Brooke, Hayden and Callie Burroughs; special cousin, Ann Donnell.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm, Sunday April 16, 2023 at Mount Olive Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life Service at 4 pm. Rev. Kirby Ownby officiating and eulogy by Robby Howard.

A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
