Robert Eugene Stepp Sr.

Robert Eugene Stepp, Sr., age 84, passed away Friday December 21, 2018. Mr. Stepp was a native of Cleveland, Tennessee, and in recent years had resided in Versailles, Kentucky. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Mr. Stepp served in the United States Coast Guard from 1954 to 1958 and participated in the honor guard for the burial of the Unknown Solider for the Korean Conflict. Mr. Stepp is preceded in death by his parents, George C. & Ida Mae (Balinger) Stepp; grandparents Riley and Lilly Stepp and Theodore and Susan Elizabeth Balinger. He is survived by his son and daughter-n-law Robert & Barclay Stepp of Versailles, KY; daughter and son-n-law Elizabeth “Sissy” & Dan Sherrod of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren Abigail “Abbey” Stepp of Versailles, KY; Reed & Heather Stepp of Balaton, MN; Andy Stepp, Versailles, KY; great grandson, Christopher Kase of Versailles, KY; sister and husband Fay & Quentin Liggett of TN; Annette Wells of Florida and several nieces and a nephew. There will be a graveside service on Thursday December 27, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Asbury Cemetery, Rev. Charlie McNutt officiating.
