Robert Henry Ford age 96 of Knoxville, passed away October 1, 2021 at his home. He was a member of West Park Baptist Church. Henry was born in Morristown, TN and graduated from Morristown High School in 1943. He entered the Army Air Corp in WWII serving 3 years. Afterwards he spent 40 years in the Telephone Business working for Southern Bell, South Central Bell and retired from AT&T as Operations Manager for Tennessee and Kentucky. Henry was a member of the Beaver Ridge Masonic Lodge #366 F&AM, the Telephone Pioneers, the Rotary Club and the VFW. Preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Inman Ford; parents, Joe R. and Eliza B. Ford; granddaughter, Lindsay Moon; grandson, Jeremy Stringer; brother, Joe Harold Ford and sister, Margaret Howerton. Survived by daughters, Diane (Warren) Wankelman, Kay Dunn and Tina (Johnny) Moon; son, Robert Martin “Marty” (Judy) Ford; grandchildren, Andrea, Cody, Samantha, Jessica and Tayler; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Braden, Jace, Charlee, Maddox, Lennox and Hendrix; great-great-grandson, Kolt; brother, Stancil Ford. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Wednesday at Weaver’s Chapel with the service to follow at 7 pm. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Thursday at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery for an 11 am interment. A Masonic Service will be held at the graveside. www.weaverfuneralservices.com.
