Robert B. Bible, Jr.

Robert “Bob” Bible, Jr. age 89 of Powell, TN, passed into glory June 10, 2021, after a long courageous battle with dementia. He was a member of Callahan Road Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Thelma Bible, He is survived by wife, Mildred; daughter and son-in-law, Tracee and Rev. Steve Pross; grandchildren, Stephanie (David) Watson, Katina Pross, Summer (Brad) Johnson, Sarah Pross; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Johnson, Kaylee Roberson, Kaycee (Skyler) Kelley, Brandon Roberson, Willie Johnson, Ashlyn Riddle, Brody Long; great-great-granddaughter, Luella Dean Kelley. A very special thank you to Derrick Prose and Ron Perkey for the excellent care and compassion they have provided over the last few years. Thank you to Avalon Hospice and Right at Home for their care. A veteran with the U.S. Army, Bob worked many years at K-25 in the administrative offices as the Accounts Payable Supervisor. He loved sports and cars as an avid Tennessee Vols and Nascar racing fan. He was a member for many years in the Hillbilly Car Club having built a car from scratch. He loved his family, his church, all people, and the opportunity to serve. In particular, he enjoyed working at the Western Heights Baptist Center. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Tuesday, June 15th at Callahan Road Baptist Church, 1317 Callahan Road, Knoxville, TN 37912 with the service to follow at 7 pm. Rev. Marc Sasser and Rev. Steve Pross officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:45 am Wednesday, June 16th at Greenwood Cemetery for a 12pm graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Callahan Road Baptist Church or the Tennessee Alzheimer’s Association.
