He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Bob was an avid UT Vols fan and loved his family and friends.
Bob is survived by common law wife of 37 years, Marvel Sims; step-son, Rick Balboa (Beth)
step-daughters, Lainie Walker and Sunny Sims; grandchildren: Rick Balboa Jr. (Amber), Josh Balboa (Tara), Casey Farmer (Nick); and great-grandchildren: Olivia, Ben, Julian, Brayden, Brynlee, Pressley and Jameson.
Family and friends will gather Monday morning, September 16, 2024, 9:00 AM at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37924 and will go in procession to East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Gov. John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN for a 10:00 AM Graveside Service.
