Reva Faye Mabry, of South Knoxville, passed away peacefully while surrounded by loved ones on February 15, 2021 at the age of 76. Faye, as most knew her, was the third youngest daughter of Howard and Nellie Mikels. She attended Young High School. Faye was the former long-time owner of Korner Market in South Knoxville where she was able to serve her delectable dishes to friends and family. Mammaw, as her family knew her, was extremely loyal. So much so that she continued working at Korner Market for the new owner up until last fall. Her desire to serve and take care of people, no matter what age, spilled into her other career as a school bus contractor for the Knox County School system and driver for CAC. Mammaw enjoyed life and was not one that demanded much, so a quick trip over the mountain to Cherokee North Carolina with friends and family was her idea of a perfect vacation. She also loved cheering on the Vols no matter what sport, watching Nascar, and being with her grandkids. Faye was outspoken and unfiltered, and you always knew where you stood with her. She will be remembered and missed for her hard work, fierce loyalty, unwavering opinion and adventurous spirit.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by brothers, Clyde, Bud, Fred, Larry and Jerry Mikels; sister, Minnie Flynn; and daughter-in-law, Christina Varnes Mabry. She is survived by her children, Michelle Jubran and husband Raja, Robin Ratliff and husband Jason, Lori Bridges and husband Michael, Beth Mabry, Harry Mabry, Jr.; grandchildren, Omar (Julia) Jubran, Nadim (Callie) Jubran, Madison Mabry, Loren Mabry, Haley Denton, Morgan Bridges, Brooks Chapman, Reagan Mabry; great-grandchildren, Mabry, Sam and Harrison Jubran, Colton Fowler; brothers, Darrel (Paula) Mikels, Roy (Sue) Mikels; sisters, Hazel Mikels, Georgia Valentine, Nellie Latham, Sue (Don) Sanders, Pam (Paul) Maxwell; sister-in-law, Hilda Mikels , brother-in-law, Herman Flynn , ex-husband, Harry Mabry, Sr.; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other extended family and special friends.
