Gerald Reece Elliott, 58, of South Knoxville, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. Reece was born on February 9, 1967, to Donna and Clyde Elliott and was a graduate of South-Young High School. Reece was known to many for his ability to fix or build anything. He was more than a handyman; he was a master woodworker and jack of all trades. He used his talents to operate and lead others for several years in the wood shop at Angelic Ministries. He has worked for many local families and most recently helped transform an unused building into what is now Farm South on Tipton Station Rd.
Reece was preceded in death by his parents, Donna and Clyde Elliott.
He is survived by his sons: Jeremy (Kendra), Josh (Kara), Jacob (Karen) Elliott; siblings: Patrick (Pedrina) Elliott and Deon (Steve) Beeler; grandchildren, Ashton, Brayden, Hannah, Conner, Noah, Sutton; several nieces and nephews and special friends Randall (Melanie) Harris, Brent (Jo) Frazier, Bob (Cecilia) Dykes, James Smith, and Pam Wise.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow on April 19, 2025, at Miracle Baptist Church, 4400 Martin Mill Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920 with Dewey Caldwell and Steve Beeler officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Reece’s honor to Angelic Ministries, 1218 North Central St. Knoxville, TN 37917.
