Raymond Douglas Johnston, precious man of integrity and godly character who dearly loved his Lord and his family, went home to be with his Lord and Savior December 22, 2018. He retired from Oak Ridge National Lab in 1983. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Virginia Johnston (Junie) father, Elmo Johnston, mother Lula Johnston and granddaughter Holli Pond. He leaves three children. Raymond Johnston Jr. (Doug) of Blue Ridge, Ga.,Patti Pond of Southaven,Ms., and Brad Johnston (wife Kim) of Pensacola,Fla. He also leaves one sister, Lorine Huffaker of Knoxville, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter as well as his special nieces and nephew. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:00 pm Wednesday, January 2nd with service to follow at 7:00 pm at Weaver Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Thursday, January 3rd at Berry Highland South Cemetery for an 11:00 am entombment. In lieu of flowers Global Outreach Intl. P.O.
