Phoebe Diane Isenberg, age 75, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at her home. She was born November 25, 1946 in Chattanooga,TN to Mary Ruth and George W. Stone. Phoebe was of the Baptist faith and retired from J.C. Penney Co. Phoebe is preceded in death by her parents and loving sister, Gilda Rae Callahan.
Phoebe is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Charles Edward Isenberg; children, Rachel Isenberg of Oneida, Lisa Simerly (Mark) of Knoxville and Jeff Isenberg of Knoxville; grandsons, Ashton Beatty of Knoxville and Aaron and Jeremiah Daniel of Oneida as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Covenant Hospice of Knoxville led by Beth Donahue.
Phoebe's family will receive friends on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Berry Highland West, 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932, from 12:30pm - 2:30pm with her funeral service at 2:30pm with Chaplain Ginny Ireland officiating. Graveside service and interment will immediately follow in the cemetery of Berry Highland West.
In lieu of flowers should be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Phoebe's memory.
