OSCAR E. CARTER age 73 of Knoxville, passed away September 21, 2012. He was a member of Keith Ave. Baptist Church and an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Oscar was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters and a great grandson Jonah Bruce. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Patricia Carter; daughter, Sandra Carter; sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Kristen, Randall and Melissa and Creg and Tonya Carter; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary White; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday 6:00 – 8:00pm with a service at 8:00pm at Weaver’s Chapel with Reverands Rocky Kelly and Jack Chapman officiating. Family and friends will meet Tuesday at 10:45am at Highland West Cemetery for an 11:00am interment.
