Hoskins, Myrtle Warren- 95, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, April 30th. She was born August 27, 1927, in Fields, Kentucky. She was born to Robert and Amanda Warren and was one of 10 children. She met the love of her life at just 5 years old and they celebrated 46 years of marriage before his passing in 1992. She had a career in cosmetology spanning six decades. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Myrtle had a love of all animals and never missed an opportunity to love on as many as she could. She passed this love on to her entire family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert, mother and father, Amanda and Robert Warren, brothers, Nealy, Vernon, Jay, Dee, Finley, and Buddy, and sister Lola Leidel. Brothers-in-law Bill Johnson and Arnold Foster.
Survived by daughter Cindy (Gary) Eckert and sons Dan (Susie) Hoskins and Terry Hoskins. Grandchildren include Lisa (James) Hoskins, Terry (Leanne) Hoskins, Danny (Loryn) Hoskins, Jimbo (Stacy) Crawford, Amanda (Charlie) Andrews, and Logan Hoskins. She has 10 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Sisters Rosie Johnson and Kitty Foster. Several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Sacred Ground Hospice House and their nurses for their excellent care during her final days.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. Family and friends will meet for an 11:00 AM Graveside Service on Thursday, May 4, 2023 in the Garden of Everlasting Life in Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery.
