Myrtle June Haynes

June was a loving wife, mother and grandmother (Nana). She was a longtime member of Meridian Baptist Church and a homemaker who took great pride in her home and family. Earning the honor of salutatorian of her high school graduating class, she received her diploma and wedding band on the same day, having married the love of her life – Ronnie Haynes. Married for 60 years, they spent their time raising a family, traveling, spending time with friends and serving in their church. June has called Knoxville home for over 65 years, born and raised in Bluff City, Tennessee.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Haynes; her parents, William and Nannie K Bryan; her brothers, James Bryan, Winston Bryan, Thurel Bryan and Harlan Bryan. June is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald E. Haynes Jr. (Janeen) and Dr. Bryan David Haynes (Connie); 2 granddaughters, Makenzey McDaniel (Jordan) and Madison Haynes.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 3:00-5:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville. Graveside service will be Monday, December 11, 2023, at 12:30 pm at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Gov. John Sevier Highway. Reverend Dana Fachman will officiate.
