Monford Paul “M.P. or Monk” Turner, age 76, of Knoxville, went home to his heavenly father on Tuesday, July 14th, 2015. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lenoir City, graduate of the University of Alabama with a B.S. degree in Mining Engineering, and a registered engineer in Alabama and Tennessee. He was also the founder of Turner Homes. He leaves behind his wife Bobby, children Paula Lowe, husband Glen and Mike Turner, wife Jill, six-grandchildren, Abby and Marcus Anders, Connie Emert, Emily Lowe, Amanda Lowe, Scott Turner and Lauren Turner. He was the middle child of nine and is survived by brothers Clyde Turner, Jr. of Trussville, Alabama and William Turner of Prattsville, Alabama. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16th, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home, with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 17th, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery.
