NORMAN, MILDRED LUCILE COOPER age 89 of Powell, went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2011. She was a member of Bookwalter United Methodist Church. She worked at Oak Ridge during WWII helping make the atomic bomb. Preceded in death by husband, Glenn M. Norman; parents, Jasper and Hester Cooper; several brothers and sisters. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Deborah Norman; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Fred Fritz and Glenna and Gary French; brother and sister-in-law, Leo and JoAnn Cooper; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and John Clabough of Texas; brother-in-law, Homer Norman; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Wednesday at Weaver’s Chapel with the service to follow at 8 pm with Kenneth Brown and Dr. David A. Lord officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Thursday at Bell’s Campground Cemetery for an 11 am interment.
