Baker, Sr., Max David-age 77 of Seymour, passed away Friday, February 26th. Mr. Baker was a retired building contractor, Past President of the Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville, a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of Charles H. McKinney Masonic Lodge No. 433. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel A. Baker. Survived by wife of 49 years, Shirley Edens Baker; son, M. David Baker; daughter, Marti Baker Lindsay and son-in-law, Gary; son, Derek S. Baker and daughter-in-law, Kim D. of Georgetown, Kentucky; grandchildren, Ryne Baker, Arrianna Lindsay, Sarah , Nathaniel and Aaron Baker; mother, Ruby Teague Baker; sister, Samita Frei and brother-in-law, Charles and sister, Betty Drinnon. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 28th from 5:00-7:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. A Masonic ceremony will begin at 5:00pm. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery, Monday, March 1st at 2:00pm for a graveside service. The Volunteer State Honor Guard will conduct military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
