Faris, Matthew James age 26 of Knoxville, passed away at his home Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Matthew was an outgoing young man and a friend to everyone he met. Matt was a 2004 Graduate of Halls High School and an employee of Kroger’s in Fountain City. He was a member of St. Albert The Great Parish. He is preceded in death by his aunt Mary Mello and grandfather Michael Faris. Survivors include his parents Michael and Mary Beth Faris, brother Michael Joseph Faris, grandparents Louis and Joan Cyr and Helen Faris. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital 2018 Clinch Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916. The Faris family will receive friends Saturday, April 9, 2011 at St. Albert The Great Parish, 7200 Brickey Ln, Knoxville, 37918 from 11am – 2pm with a Funeral Mass to follow at 2pm, Father Ragan Shriver officiating.
