Mary Louise Whaley, “Miss Sid,” age 77 of Seymour, passed away October 2nd at her home. She was born on March 13, 1937 to the late Judd and Emma Inman in Knoxville. Mrs. Whaley was a home healthcare caregiver. She is survived by: daughters, Anna (Robert) Burnette and Vickie (Tommy) Romines; brothers, David and Kenny Ingram; sisters, Dorothy Crain, Doris Walker, Alice Long, and Peggy Dyer; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; special niece, Darlene Smelcer, and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by: husband of over 50 years, Carroll “Sid” Whaley; son, Robert Whaley; grandson, Hal Whaley; brothers, James and R.C. Inman; and sisters, Josie Dunlap and Billie Faye Dickson. The family wishes to express a special thank you to nurse Owen O’Neil for his care of Mrs. Whaley. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 7p.m. in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 5p.m. Graveside services will be held Monday, October 6th, at 1p.m. at Berry Highland South Cemetery.
