Mary S Tallent

Mary (Pete) Seal Tallent, age 93, of Knoxville, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Sacred Ground Hospice. Mary graduated from Horace Maynard High School in Maynardville, TN and Walter State School of Nursing in Morristown, TN. She retired from Lakeshore Mental Hospital. She was a loving mom, mamaw, great grandma, and great great grandma. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Royston (Ross) Tallent; parents, Haynes and Biddie Seal; grandparents, Tom and Rosalie Hewitt. Survived by two children, Ed Tallent and wife Wanda, Carolyn Emerson and husband Paul; four brothers, Frank Seal, Fred Seal and wife Patti, Ted Seal and wife Kate, and Doug Seal and wife Julia Faye; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to UT Hospital Medical Team that took such great care of Mary and the wonderful caring staff of Sacred Ground Hospice. The family welcomes friends for a celebration of Mary’s life at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive from 2 – 4 pm Saturday, July 23, 2022. Service to follow with Pastor Mike Segers officiating. Family and friends will gather at Greenwood Cemetery Sunday, July 24, 2022 for a 1 pm graveside service.
