Mary Ann Kilbourne

Mary Ann (Granny) Kilbourne, age 94, of South Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 11, 2022. Mary was born March 22, 1928. She was a faithful member and Sunday school teacher at Island Home Baptist Church for 55 years. Granny was a kindhearted, beloved part of the South Knoxville community who always had a smile on her face. She was a blessing to all who knew her. She enjoyed cooking for her family, reading, collecting books and spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ernie and Annie Keith; husband, Roy Kilbourne; daughter, Dawn; brothers, Bill and Troy Keith; sisters, Betty Debord and Elaine Emmons; and grandson, Kelley Rose.

Survived by her children, Tona Bayless, Cathy (Wade) Shinlever, Kim (Patty) Kilbourne, Marty Kilbourne; special friend Steve Colburn; grandchildren, Mark and Eric Morrison, Jennifer (Jason) Martens, Kevin Shinlever, Travis Kilbourne, and Drew Kilbourne; several great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM for an 11:00 AM graveside service Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at New Gray Cemetery, Chaplain Rocky Glenn officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals 1714 Reynolds St. Knoxville, TN 37921.
