Mary E Dixon

Mary Ernestine “Tean” Dixon, age 99, of Knoxville, born and raised in Stewart County, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. Tean was the daughter of the late Roy and Mae Dickerson. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and retired from Millers Department Store on Henley Street after 22 years of service. Preceded in death by husband, Sherman Dixon in 1958; two dear sons, Ronald and Gary Dixon in 2015, daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Judy L Dixon and Herbert O Hicks, Jr.; two stepsons, Kenneth and Paul Dixon. Survived by daughter, Peggy Jean Hicks; daughter-in-law, Brenda Dixon; grandchildren, Mark Dixon (fiancée, Shannon Satterfield); Randy (Carol) Dixon; Rodney Hicks, Lisa (Frank) LeClaire; Annita (Matthew) Iobst; nine great-grandchildren, Cierra (Trigg) McMahan, Austin Dixon, Kyle Hicks, Peyton Pressley, Kinzie Hicks, Brandon Hicks, M J Iobst , Tyler Gusmus, and Faith Truman; five great great-grandchildren; very good friend, Linda Williams. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, with a service to follow at 1:00pm, with Pastor Don Thomas and Reverend Don Dixon officiating.
